The Portswood Hotel

The Portswood Hotel has a interesting history, as the original building formed part a convict’s station. The restaurant and foyer are built around the original well and holding cells for prisoners en route to Robben Island as long ago as 300 years. Today’s building is very much a comfortable, welcoming hotel.
