Luxury Trains
South Africa offers what are arguably two of the most luxurious Train Journeys in the world - all aboard for Rovos Rail, and The Blue Train!
You don't have to be a Rail enthusiast to appreciate, and enjoy, travelling in style and utter comfort, at, in today's world, what is still a leisurely pace.
Although luxurious, each of the two trains - Rovos Rail, and The Blue Train, offer surprisingly different experiences of train tours. Rovos Rail is privately owned, and all of the Engines and Rolling Stock have been lovingly restored from a bygone era. For part of the route, in most cases, your train is still pulled by a Steam Locomotive.
The Blue Train has been thrilling guests since 1946 - and has become synonymous with luxury train travel. The most famous route is the 27 hour journey between Pretoria and Cape Town... perhaps no better way to travel to the Cape!
